WELCOME!Troop 128 is the oldest ScoutsBSA Troop in McLean, Virginia. Our programs for boys and girls welcome youth aged eleven to eighteen for a rewarding program of skill building, outdoor activities, fellowship with other youth, and a safe place to grow into adults of character. We encourage you to attend a troop meeting and see if Troop 128 is right for your son or daughter. If you have questions, you can always contact us and we will provide information about our program, activities, and what it means to be a scout.
THE BOYS’ TROOP
Our Boys Troop was established in 1924 and has been a staple of the McLean community for 95 years. We have about 70 scouts who regularly participate in our meetings and outdoor activities. The boys’ troop is led by Scoutmaster Tom Brooke.
THE GIRLS’ TROOP
On February 1, 2019, the Troop 128 committee in conjunction with leadership of St. John’s Episcopal Church chartered one of the first ScoutsBSA Girls troops in the US. The girls of Troop 128 are led by Scoutmaster Nicholas Guertin.
The girls also meet on Monday evenings at 7:30pm. To join the girls’ troop, simply come to a meeting or join online.
